Bhajan Format
Our regular weekly programs are usually held on:
Sundays from 1:45 PM to 5:15 PM

  1. Bhajan Practice
  2. SSE (Balvikas) classes for Children
  3. Study Circle
  4. Veda Practice
  5. Veda chanting or Ashtothara(108 Names of Sai)
  6. Bhajans
  7. Chanting of Gayathri Mantra and Sai Gayathri
  8. Thought for the day (Swami's message)
  9. Important Announcements
  10. Closing Prayers & Aarathi (Right procedure for performing Aarathi)
  11. Vibhuthi (Holy ash) distribution

Apart from the above activities, during the regular weekly program, members also take part in the following:

  1. Seva (Service) programs by bringing Cooked Pasta, Juice boxes etc. for the needy. Please click here for more information.
  2. Information Desk: New members can obtain information about the center at our information desk. New members should also register at the information desk. Registration can be also be done online by visiting our Registration Page.
  3. Library: Our center library also operates during the regular center program. Members can borrow and return books, CDs or DVDs during this time. We have an exciting collection of Sai Literature, Children's books, Audio CDs and DVDs. Please click here for more information.
  4. Bhajan Offering: In order to allow members to derive joy from offering their reverence to Sai, each member family is given an opportunity to offer the flowers, prasadam (food offering) etc. required for the Bhajans. Member families will take turns every week (based on a lot taken at the beginning of the year) to render their offerings. Any one member of this family will have the privilege of offering Aarathi to Swami on the day of their turn. Please click here for more information.
  5. Healing Prayer: During the Bhajans, members will offer Healing Prayers with chanting of Maha Mrutyunjaya Mantra. If you wish to pray for someone, you can fill the name of the person you are praying for and leave it at Swami's feet. Forms will be available at the Information desk. Strict discipline needs to be followed during center activities. Members are expected to conduct themselves in a manner appropriate in upholding the guiding spiritual principles of Sai Organization.

  1. Members are required to wear modest clothing. Men are requested to wear whites (not a requirement). Women should wear decent "unrevealing" clothing. Suggested clothing for women is light colored saris or salvar. No transparent, tight fitting clothing should be worn. Women should cover shoulders with a shawl.
  2. Members should follow these guidelines during Bhajans.
