Yoga Class
"The science of Yoga was assigned great prominence in the past by Indians...The Yoga science is today being probed by physicists and others in Western countries. In this era of technology, it is becoming increasingly difficult to lead peaceful lives. Men are becoming the targets of various types of mental ailments...Besides, new varieties of illness have emerged and are developing fast. A few intelligent westerners have realized that their only refuge is Yoga; they have confirmed their conclusion by means of experiments; they have taken to Yoga with increasing faith." - Sri Sathya Sai Baba

Sathya Sai Baba has emphasized how yoga can help with the stresses and strains of modern day living, which leads to lack of sleep and the weakening of the body. All this together leads to heart diseases, blood pressure, diseases of the lungs, etc. Research has shown that yoga can help with these problems, where medicine cannot completely cure. It is said that twelve minutes of yoga is equivalent to two hours of sleep.

Bridgewater Sai Center conducts yoga class for SSE children and is usually held on the first Sunday of every month from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM. Details will be updated on the "Next week's program" page on the Thursday before the class.

Classes are conducted by Mrs. Manju Joshi (M.A. Sanskrut and Yoga, Dip. in Fitness & Nutrition), a renowned yoga teacher and co-founder of "Gurukul", an Institution focused on teaching yoga the old fashioned way.

Note: Children taking part in yoga should carry (or wear) clothing appropriate for performing physical exercises.
